We don’t do rules. Except just this once. We know feeling at home and feeling safe go hand in hand, and we also believe the best communities are built on kindness. That’s where these guidelines come in.

Be safe.

Fire safety.

We do all we can to keep you safe. Help us (and avoid a hefty fine) by:

  • Not touching or tampering with safety equipment or procedures.
  • Not smoking or vaping anywhere in the property (ask our House Hosts where to go instead).
  • Not burning candles or incense.

Just so you know, if you ignore these rules you will be fined and we may ask you to leave.

Visitors.

Your friends are our friends, but even we have boundaries:

  • Four’s company, five’s a crowd – no more than four people in your apartment, please
  • No more than two people sleeping in each bed, unless you’ve paid for an extra bed (1 bed = 2 people).
  • No visitors after 10pm or before 8am.
  • Collect your deliveries from reception (just make sure they’re labelled with your name and apartment number).

Criminality.
It’s simple: if you commit a crime or are suspected of committing a crime (including malicious damage), we’ll report you to the authorities and ask you to leave.

Hygiene.
We want Locke to feel like home. Treat it like one by:

  • Keeping your apartment clean and tidy.
  • Getting rid of food waste (who likes waking up to a bad smell? Not us!).
  • Get in touch with housekeeping if you need them.

Gym Safety.
Kudos for effort. We only ask for a little more:

  • If the equipment stays in shape, so you do – please use safely and considerately.
  • Have you read and signed a disclaimer? If not, please  use at your own risk.
  • No visitors (even PTs or clients, sorry)

Security.
Our Team, CCTV and Access Control system run a tight ship to keep you safe. That’s why:

  • Under-18s are welcome with an adult family member.
  • We’ll ask for photo ID when you check in.
  • If you lose your key, we’ll ask for photo ID before giving you a new one.
  • We only hand out one key per guest.

Damage.
We’re proud to call Locke home and want you to be, too. So:

  • We’ll take a €/£50 damage deposit when you check in.
  • Let us know about any breakages, spillages, or otherages before you check out.
  • Don’t stick anything to the walls.

Be kind.

Noise.
Banging tunes and lively conversation are great, unless you’re the person next door.

  • Keep all noise (TVs, music, voices) to a minimum between 10pm and 8am. Our team will be in touch if we need you to turn it down.

Smoking.

  • We don’t allow smoking or vaping anywhere on the property; ask our House Hosts where you can go instead.
  • Be considerate: don’t blow smoke or vapour into our or our neighbours’ buildings.

So you know, if you ignore these rules you will be fined €/£240 and asked to leave.

Odours.
Take a sniff of our studios – fresh, right? Keep it that way by:

  • Using the extractor fan when you’re cooking.
  • Getting rid of food waste regularly.
  • Calling housekeeping if you need them.
  • Keeping your apartment clean and tidy.

Respect.
Treat others, the community and our team as you’d like to be treated. That way everyone’s a winner.

Your room will get refreshed once every week as standard. At the moment we've paused our regular weekly cleans so you can have your own space, but you can request a ‘no-contact clean’ and pick up fresh linen and Ecolab cleaning products at the front desk. If you require more frequent cleaning, you can request this for an extra fee – please contact the House Hosts at the property to arrange.

We're happy to store your luggage during the day if you're arriving earlier than check in time, or want to explore the city after you check out. If you'd like us to store you things overnight, please contact the House Hosts at the property directly, and they'll see what they can do.

What’s important to you is important to us. That’s why we’ve upped the ante on our (already rigorous) health and safety measures to make sure that when you stay with us, you can sleep sound knowing you’re well looked after. We're also working closely with Common Sense Compliance (CSC) to ensure we meet the highest food, health and safety and fire safety standards at all Locke locations. We are also ISAAP 'Stay with Confidence' and Visit Britain 'We're Good to Go' accredited, which means we uphold high levels of safety, security and duty of care.

We also require all guests and visitors to wear face coverings in our communal spaces (unless eating or drinking), abide by social distancing measures, and provide contact details or check-in, in line with local contact tracing schemes.

You can read more about how we're dealing with things in the new world on our dedicated page here.

Before your stay.

Many of our properties have meeting and/or event spaces for hire. To enquire, contact the bookings team at the property you're hoping to book into directly.

Aparthotels combine the best bits of a serviced apartment living, with the facilities of a hotel. You’ll have your own private apartment with a kitchen and living area, with almost twice the space of a boutique hotel room. But unlike in a serviced apartment, you’ll also have access to hotel facilities and services that help make you feel looked after, and your stay special. Like our gyms and yoga classes, cafés, restaurants and cocktail bars and communal work-spaces. Plus a whole team of hosts to look after you from the minute you check in.

Yes, our properties are well equipped for children. Cots are available free of charge for children under two - if you require one, please note as a special request when making a reservation.
