In this role you will be responsible for;

The Role:

Are you a hospitality nerd? A customer-focused host with unbelievable multi-tasking abilities? Do you get energy from developing a happy, motivated team?

Forming a bordering-on-iconic gang with our other Head Hosts and reporting to the Front Office Manager, you’ll support the management of Turing Locke and Hyatt Centric, Cambridge. You’ll have a strong understanding of how to maintain and enrich the Locke & Hyatt brands, epic people management and a natural flair for delivering service that makes clients rave about their stay (and want to come back).

What it looks like.

  • Creating tell-your-mates experiences that make guests want to keep coming back
  • Being ‘in the know’ on local goings-on and inspiring guests with new ideas
  • Acknowledging and acting on guest reviews in a way that shows we care
  • Handling complaints with a can-do attitude
  • A systems specialist (Mews, Opera, Knowcross, HotSOS); resolving payment queries and system errors like the smooth operator you are
  • Supervising and coaching the Day House Host team and empowering them to do all these things, too
  • Regularly stepping in for on-call duty
  • Delegating effectively to keep things running like clockwork
  • Actively looking for opportunities to grow revenue and occupancy
  • Helping to organise and deliver events that promote the Locke & Hyatt brand
  • Identifying upselling opportunities and helping your team do the same

When and Where.

  • You’ll work 40 hours, across five days per week
  • We believe in working flexibly – this includes flexibility in work location, working days (including weekends and bank holidays in operations) and working hours. This may be ad hoc or permanent flexibility.  Ask your recruiting manager or see our careers page for more information.
  • Based mostly at Turing Locke & Hyatt Centric, Cambridge, but you might also work at other  locations
